Hello beauties! I’ve been absent for a while because of school work but I’m back with a makeup look that I know you’ll love! I used the Naked 3 Palette for this look because it contains beautiful rose gold shades that compliment any skin tone. If you don’t have this palette you can use any shades that are similar to the ones I use.
I always start my makeup off by doing my eyes first because I always get a little fallout from the eye shadow, and I can easily just cover it up when I put my foundation on later.
First, I put urban decay’s primer potion on my eyelid to ensure that my eye shadow lasts long. I also sprayed MAC’s fixed plus onto my brush to get more pigment from the eye shadows. Then, I applied the shade trick, which is a nice shimmery gold colour, on my whole eyelid. You can build it up to your preferred intensity. I put on quite a few layers of this colour because I really wanted a bronze makeup look. (Hence the name of this post) I wanted just a hint of a pink in so I added the shade buzz on just the center of my eyelid and blended it outwards. To add more depth to my eyes, I added the shade nooner, into my crease and blended it out. Then I added the shade black heart into the outer v of my eye and really blended it out so it didn’t look harsh. (If you haven’t noticed already, blending is the key to natural looking eyeshadow) I went back in with trick and focused it on the inner third of the eye lid just so the eye shadow doesn’t look too dark. This is optional but I also added the shade strange under my brows to highlight. I finished off the eyes by applying winged eyeliner and mascara.
I use a sponge to apply my foundation because I feel it gives me the most natural and seamless looking coverage. I used the FIT ME foundation by Maybelline in the shade 310. When applying foundation, I recommend starting from the centre of your face (nose) and working your way outwards. I recommend this because usually you have the most imperfections around the centre of your face, so you get good coverage there and it prevents you from wearing more foundation than you need. I do a dabbing motion with my sponge because it gives the most effective coverage. Then I go ahead and set my foundation with the FIT ME powder to keep shine at bay. Next, I move onto contouring and highlighting. I take my bronzer and apply it in the hollows of my cheeks. I highlight down the centre of my nose, chin, cupids bow and cheek bones. *if you want me to create a post dedicated to how I contour and highlight, like this post! Finally I apply some blush and voila! My face is done!
For the lips, you can really choose any colour you want because bronze is a versatile shade, so its totally up to you. You can go for a bold red lip or even a plum or a nice pink. I decided to go for a lip colour very close to my natural shade just a bit more pink-red.
And that’s pretty much it! Hope you guys try this look out and let me know in the comments below if you enjoyed this post.
Here’s the finished look!

Hello beauties! Recently, I’ve been getting a lot of breakouts on my face, so I began looking online to find a face mask that prevents and treats acne/blemishes and came across a Apple Cider Vinegar mask on top10homeremedies.com I put the link to this specific face mask if you want to go look at it in the picture below. They have many more face masks so you should definitely check it out! I just thought I’d share this mask with you because it worked very well for me.
For this face mask you need:
– 1 tablespoon Pure Apple Cider Vinegar
– 2 tablespoon Cooled Green Tea
– 1 tablespoon Honey
– 5 teaspoons Sugar
– Bowl and a Spoon (obviously)
You simply mix these all together, in the order they are listed, and you can use a cotton pad to apply. I just folded a piece of paper towel, and it worked just fine.
This is what the mask looked like for me when I mixed in the ingredients.
You can add more sugar to get a thicker consistency. When applying the mask, rub your skin in circular motions to exfoliate. Let it sit for 8-10 minutes and then just wash it off.
I did my research and found out the benefits of each ingredient in this face mask so keep reading to see what these natural ingredients can do for your skin.
Benefits of this face mask:
Apple Cider Vinegar:
It unclogs your pores and allows your skin to breathe. It also balances the pH levels in your skin which balances the production of sebum, which prevents your skin from getting too oily. Because of it’s anti-fungal, antibacterial, and antiviral properties, apple cider vinegar helps prevent acne and any skin infections.
It reduces inflammation of acne and has anti-bacterial properties that prevent and fight against acne. It is also full of great anti-oxidants that your skin will thank you for.
It contains anti-microbial properties, so it helps cleanse your pores and does not let microbes grow. The anti-oxidants in the honey help keep your skin youthful. Honey also helps keep your skin soft, smooth and gives it a healthy glow. The stickiness of the honey helps take unwanted dirt, microbes, and dead skin which helps prevent skin infections and unclogs your pores.
The sugar helps exfoliate the skin and remove dead skin and excess sebum, leaving you with a smooth and glowing complexion.
Let me know in the comments if you try this mask out! 🙂
Hello beauties! Travelling is a lot of fun, but packing a suitcase is a whole other story. Packing can be a frustrating thing, but I’m here to make it easier for you… and your makeup bag. I’ve come up with a list of 5 beauty/makeup must-haves for any glamorous traveller! Plus, I added pictures of products I recommend! 🙂
1. BB cream/Tinted Moisturizer
You can apply it with your fingers making it easy and convenient for you to do while on-the-go! Provides you a good coverage without all the hassle of a foundation.
2. 2-in-1 Blush & Bronzer
Don’t ever skip out on the blush/bronzer because every girl needs a little colour on her face! 2-in-1 products are a lifesaver for anyone that’s constantly travelling because it’s one less product to carry around in your makeup bag.
Quick tip: Get the most bang for your buck by using bronzer as an eye-shadow! You can sweep some of the bronzer in the crease of your eyes, for some added depth and natural looking eye makeup.
3. Mascara (preferably waterproof)
Mascara does wonders for your eyes because it: a)defines your lashes b) makes your eyes pop and c) helps you look more awake. I suggest using waterproof mascara if you are going to spend time at the pool/beach and because while travelling you have to be prepared for any type of weather, and you don’t want panda eyes due to an unexpected rain shower (we’ve all been there).
Quick tip: when applying mascara focus on the outer lashes to create the illusion of bigger eyes.
4. Lipstick/ Lipgloss/ Lip-balm
We can’t forget about the lips! Choose your favourite shade of lipstick/lipgloss to complete your look. For the days you want to rock your natural lip colour, (you go girl) I’d suggest using a moisturising lip-balm. Always carry a lip product in your purse because you never know when you may need a retouch.
5. Neutral Eyeshadow Pallette (travel size)
Try to find a palette with matte shades because they are easier and faster to apply and look more natural. If your palette includes a black shade, you can use it as eye-liner. I strongly recommend the naked basics palette. If that’s too expensive then try the NYX drug store alternative. I found out about this alternative thanks to this blog post: http://blushandlace.com/2012/12/20/urbandecaydupes/
Hope you enjoyed! Let me know in the comments what your makeup must-haves are when travelling!

Hello beauties! Spring is just around the corner, which means warmer weather, and for some of us (including me), that means oily skin. The best way to prevent your face from melting off is to keep your makeup light and pretty, and I’ve heard BB creams are perfect for that! So I went to Walmart and picked up the Rimmel London 9-in-1 skin perfecting BB cream, to see what all the craze was about, and I thought I’d share with you all my thoughts on this product. Hopefully this helps you if you are considering purchasing this BB cream.
1. Colour Range & Texture
This BB cream comes in the shades: Light, Medium, and Dark. The colour selection isn’t very large, so you may have to buy 2 and mix them to get the shade that’s right for you. However, I use the shade Medium by itself and I’d say it matches me very well. The colour is very orangey (is that even a word), so I find that this BB cream works best in spring and summer because everyone’s skin gets a bit of a tan, and the orange in the BB cream doesn’t look as harsh. Also, this BB cream is a fairly thick consistency. It’s not too thick but definitely thicker than most BB creams which makes it harder to blend into the skin.
With this BB cream, I suggest you use your fingers to blend because I found this method to look the most natural. It is almost impossible to blend with a beauty blender (trust me I tried) because of the consistency, but a brush could be used (It’d take time though) if you dislike using your fingers to apply makeup.
3. Coverage & Overall finished look/feel
It provides a light coverage but you can build it up to medium. If you want full coverage then this is not the product for you. I personally like that it is a light to medium coverage because during the warmer seasons I want my skin to breathe, but at the same time I don’t want to look like a zombie. Also, a recent trend has been no makeup-makeup and this BB cream does exactly that! This product provides a skin like feel that I absolutely love. It is so soft and doesn’t crease up in fine lines.
Does it fulfill its claims?
It says its a 9 – in – 1 skin perfecting super makeup. It claims to:
3. Minimize pores
6. Smoothe the complexion
8. Brightens the complexion
9. Helps protect
A lot of these claims are just really repetitive like “conceal” and “cover” really? They are literally the exact same thing! It does feel moisturizing and you can skip the primer with this product, but it didn’t mattify my skin. I had to use a translucent powder to reduce the shine, but if you have normal/combination/dry skin you should be fine. I don’t have huge pores to begin with so I can’t really speak for that one, and the rest of the claims are basic ones that every makeup product can fulfill.
I give this product a 7/10. I’m not a big fan of the consistency and I feel as though there are better BB creams out on the market that I would like to try. This was my first time using a BB cream, and I do think it fell short just because I hear such amazing things about BB creams all the time. I do like the fact that it is very natural looking. In fact, my sister said to me “you’re skin looks so clear!” and she didn’t know that I was wearing makeup, so that felt good to hear. Also, it’s perfect for the spring/summer time because its easy and quick to apply and allows my skin to breathe. Overall it is a good product, and if you try or have tried this product let me know how you feel about it in the comments! 🙂 Talk to you soon!
