Hello Beauties! I’ve heard so much about this dream liquid mousse foundation that I just had to try it out! Keep reading to see my thoughts on this product and if you should add it to your makeup collection!
Packaging & Price
I absolutely love that I can pump the foundation because otherwise it can get very messy. The pump allows me to control how much foundation I want and is much easier. Other than that, there is nothing really special about the packaging. I got this foundation for about 10 bucks at shoppers drug mart, which is a good price, considering it is a drugstore product.
The foundation feels super smooth and nice. It has a velvety touch and feels exactly like it claims- a liquid mousse! I love the way it feels on my face, and it is not sticky or too thick like other foundations. This foundation is also extremely easy to blend on to the face. It looks so seamless and natural on the skin.
Coverage & Look
I find this foundation provides a light to medium coverage. It was able to even out my skin tone, cover blemishes, and even lighten up the appearance of my dark circles. It also gives a nice glow to the skin. I personally like the healthy and naturally dewy look. If you prefer a matte finish, then this foundation may not be for you. This next point can be a advantage or disadvantage, depending on what you like to use foundation for. It does not have any SPF in it. This is a disadvantage because you have no protection on sunny days, but you could always just wear a moisturizer with SPF, underneath your foundation. It is an advantage because you won’t have a white overcast on your face in flash photos, if you wear the foundation at night.
-twist-lock pump bottle
-smooth texture and easy to blend
-affordable and readily available
-light- medium coverage (covers blemishes, lightens dark circles)
-provides nice glow (could be con for some people)
-not a matte finish (could be a pro for some people)
-not a full coverage foundation
you should definitely try this foundation if you like a natural and glowing finish!
Hello beauties! I wanted to create a quick post on how to use the beauty blender properly. If you don’t have a beauty blender, I recommend buying one because it is seriously so worth it! Foundation goes on so flawless and easy.
Use a clean beauty blender.
Soak it in lukewarm water. Or run it under lukewarm water. Squeeze the water out of the beauty blender.
Repeat previous step 2-3 times or until the beauty blender is a lot bigger in size. (It is completely normal for the beauty blender to expand!)
Hello beauties! I’ve been absent for a while because of school work but I’m back with a makeup look that I know you’ll love! I used the Naked 3 Palette for this look because it contains beautiful rose gold shades that compliment any skin tone. If you don’t have this palette you can use any shades that are similar to the ones I use.
I always start my makeup off by doing my eyes first because I always get a little fallout from the eye shadow, and I can easily just cover it up when I put my foundation on later.
First, I put urban decay’s primer potion on my eyelid to ensure that my eye shadow lasts long. I also sprayed MAC’s fixed plus onto my brush to get more pigment from the eye shadows. Then, I applied the shade trick, which is a nice shimmery gold colour, on my whole eyelid. You can build it up to your preferred intensity. I put on quite a few layers of this colour because I really wanted a bronze makeup look. (Hence the name of this post) I wanted just a hint of a pink in so I added the shade buzz on just the center of my eyelid and blended it outwards. To add more depth to my eyes, I added the shade nooner, into my crease and blended it out. Then I added the shade black heart into the outer v of my eye and really blended it out so it didn’t look harsh. (If you haven’t noticed already, blending is the key to natural looking eyeshadow) I went back in with trick and focused it on the inner third of the eye lid just so the eye shadow doesn’t look too dark. This is optional but I also added the shade strange under my brows to highlight. I finished off the eyes by applying winged eyeliner and mascara.
I use a sponge to apply my foundation because I feel it gives me the most natural and seamless looking coverage. I used the FIT ME foundation by Maybelline in the shade 310. When applying foundation, I recommend starting from the centre of your face (nose) and working your way outwards. I recommend this because usually you have the most imperfections around the centre of your face, so you get good coverage there and it prevents you from wearing more foundation than you need. I do a dabbing motion with my sponge because it gives the most effective coverage. Then I go ahead and set my foundation with the FIT ME powder to keep shine at bay. Next, I move onto contouring and highlighting. I take my bronzer and apply it in the hollows of my cheeks. I highlight down the centre of my nose, chin, cupids bow and cheek bones. *if you want me to create a post dedicated to how I contour and highlight, like this post! Finally I apply some blush and voila! My face is done!
For the lips, you can really choose any colour you want because bronze is a versatile shade, so its totally up to you. You can go for a bold red lip or even a plum or a nice pink. I decided to go for a lip colour very close to my natural shade just a bit more pink-red.
And that’s pretty much it! Hope you guys try this look out and let me know in the comments below if you enjoyed this post.
Here’s the finished look!
